Account: email address, display name — to run your account. Legal basis: contract.

Date of birth (optional):only if you interact with an age-restricted event or choose to share it — to check age eligibility, and to send you birthday perks if you've opted into emails. Legal basis: legitimate interest / legal obligation for age checks; consent for birthday perks.

Interests & audiences:scenes you select, events you register interest in — to personalise what we show you and, if you've opted in, what we send you. Legal basis: consent / legitimate interest.

Photo submissions (People's Archive): images you upload, your username and caption — displayed publicly after moderation. Legal basis: consent.

Face matching (Foto Lab):if you use "find yourself", your selfie is processed to search event photos for your face. The selfie is processed in memory, never written to storage, and discarded the moment matching completes; the face vector generated from it is not retained either. Anonymised search analytics are kept for up to 12 months. See the Foto Lab privacy notice for full detail. Legal basis: explicit consent, given per search.

Push notifications: only if you enable them — to send event alerts you asked for. Revocable any time in your browser settings. Legal basis: consent.

Marketing: email campaigns only if you opted in. Every email has one-click unsubscribe. Legal basis: consent.

Technical: auth cookies (essential), basic logs — to keep the site working and secure. Legal basis: legitimate interest.

We don't sell your data. We don't share it with advertisers. Photos from RECESS events are not used to train AI models.

Suppliers who process data for us: Supabase (database and authentication, EU — Ireland, eu-west-1), Vercel (hosting, US), Trunq (photo archive and face-match search), AWS Rekognition (face matching, as Trunq's sub-processor), Resend (email delivery), Upstash (rate limiting — IP addresses only), SoundCloud (embedded music player), and ticketing partners where you buy through them (AXS, DICE).

Account data: while your account exists, plus 30 days after a deletion request. DOB: while your account exists. Selfie searches: not retained. Unsubscribed contacts: suppression list only (so we don't email you again).
